Mini Drugstore Haul

Drugstore HaulI always get an itch to try a lot of makeup whenever I’m in the drugstore especially after I hear so many recommendation of this season’s “must-have’s”.  After a couple weeks loitering at drugstores during lunch breaks, I’ve decided to finally try a few things out.

Revlon Scented Nail Enamel in “Spun Sugar”
Not only is the name beautiful, so is the colour. Unfortunately, it is incredibly streaky and hard to apply. I probably won’t be purchasing anymore nail polish by Revlon for the time being. ★★☆☆☆

Maybelline 24Hrs Color Tattoo in “Bad to the Bronze”
I’ve had great experiences with this series and own about three more of the cream shadows which all work well. This particular one has great buildup and is a nice shadow for a somewhat natural-smoky look. ★★★★★

Maybelline Colorsensational in “Glam 7”
A brighter pink that’s good for springtime, I feel. It hints of bitten lips, a blushy kind of colour that is perfect for the season right now – windy with lots of sunshine and pool parties – and has great staying power. It’s not sticky and opaque, which makes it even more perfect. It is fast-becoming a regular in my makeup routine. ★★★☆☆

NYX Lipliner in “Mauve” and “Beige”
This is hands-down the best lipliner I’ve ever owned. Doesn’t settle into the lip lines at all and adds dimension to my lips. I like to fill in my lips entirely with this, a great sophisticated matte-look that I have been using since Fall. ★★★★☆
