My Ottawa Trip

Ottawa Trip (2)So I was up in Ottawa for the last couple of days to help my cousin move but I couldn’t help but check out Byward Market. This place is always full of life: from the lively street performances, bakeries and bustling footsteps of passerbys, this place is the place to be if you want to get a good grasp of the city. Here, I also found a lot of good food so I decided to take quite a few pictures so that you could live vicariously through me.

Ottawa Trip (1)I started off at Cupcake Lounge, off my cousin’s recommendation and tried their “Special”: a chocolate cupcake topped with brownie and marshmallow, glazed with a chocolate ganache. It was absolutely mind-blowingly delicious; after browsing for a while, it started to rain which gave me reason to pop into a wonderful cafe that serves up the most decadent chocolate treats I have ever had. Here, I tried their banana split waffle: a waffle with milk chocolate Everywhere and served with a flambéed banana drizzled with honey, with of course, a very generous mug of Earl Grey. It was everything I wished for and much more.  Ottawa Trip (3)Cacao 70. 51-53 William St, Ottawa, Ontario, K1N 9B7. (613) 860-1991. cacao70.ca.
