Drugstore Haul

So I know that it has been a while but things have really gotten crazy recently. Me and Hana trawled the streets after hosting the radio show to help her look for some makeup for a photoshoot. I admit, I did a little bit of damage when we got to the drugstores (I blame the beautiful Anna Sui display cases).

After Hana had gotten a beauty consultation and built up a nice arsenal of bold lip colours, I couldn’t help but be a little cheeky and ask for a few recommendations for myself. I ended up caving and buying the CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Romance 265 (which is a great Autumnal deeper pink) and the Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Lipstick in Biscotti (that I got suckered into buying for its delicious name). The next in my basket was a repurchase of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bad Girl Bronze & Bulletproof Beige as I had really enjoyed the lighter version over the summer (they do not budge) and wanted to take it to a bronzier, smokier side coming into Autumn. Afterwards, I remembered that I was lacking in the hairspray department (I haven’t curled my hair in weeks!) so in went the L’Oreal Elnett Satin Ultra Strong Hold.

At the check out counter I realised that I really needed to just suck it up and buy the L’Oreal Lash Out Butterfly Mascara since I had heard so many rave reviews and so here it is. If this product is really as good as it is hyped up to be, I may retire my holy grail Maybelline Falsies. Last impulse purchase: Essie Nail Lacquer in Ballet Slipper. I can’t help it. The formulation might be a gloopy mess but the colour is to die for – it’s the perfect white-pink that just makes my hands look so much more luminescent, if that’s a thing.

What were your impulse purchases this weekend?
